In 1964-1965, I began to use expanded polystyrene, which was a new material in ceramics, where clay or plaster was generally used. This produced a radical change in my work, considering my particular approach to the material, which allowed me to develop a unique expressive language. My work focuses on the use of modular elements which are realised in ceramics and have allowed me to create, using a non-traditional technique, large surfaces integrated with architecture, columns, architraves, friezes, and cornices.
